Lost in the Weeds: My garden (and Business) Disappear in a Fog of Neglect

There goes the plan for a birthday BBQ🤷‍♂️

I’m actually hoping my brother in law will be able to come to my BBQ – and not because he’s the only one who’ll be able to make a good job of cooking the food, I’m ashamed to say.

There’s onother bit of a problem with the plan though…

The Weeds Have Won (Big Time)

So here I am, staring at a wilderness that vaguely resembles the neglected patch of dirt I once called a garden. The scraggly bushes mirror the cobwebs clinging to my marketing strategy. The overflowing gutters are a dead ringer for my overflowing inbox. This place is a disaster zone.

(not my actual garden – it’s worse! 😲)

Years of chasing the business dream have left my garden looking like a forgotten movie set. Knee-high weeds, rogue buddleia strangling the fence like a runaway green python – the whole thing screams “neglected batchelor pad.” Honestly, it perfectly reflects the state of my business lately. All potential choked by a lack of attention and a whole lotta “meh.”

Well, more like getting caught up in the ‘figurative’ weeds of not really knowing which direction to go in.

That, and the ongoing problems with the house which have kept distracting me.

Maybe though things are finally beginning to turn a corner…

Thanks to persisting with my business goals, exploring and trying new things, and sharing my experiences I was lucky enough to find a mentor; and I’m building a list, and have earned my first online income.

that still wasn’t enough to give me the impetus to move forward decisively and make a big breakthrough. Mainly due to the other problems I’d neglected while chasing ‘Shiny Objects’ as I tried to build my business.

But Maybe There’s Still Beer in the Fridge?

Maybe this overgrown mess is the reality check I desperately needed. Maybe it’s time to ditch the metaphorical metaphorical metaphorical metaphorical metaphorical metaphorical (you get the idea) excuses and grab a shovel. Maybe my business isn’t a lost cause after all.

Time to Man Up (and Mow Down)

Alright, deep breaths are needed. This garden apocalypse isn’t going to fix itself with wishful thinking. It needs serious effort, the kind that involves more than ordering takeout and watching paint dry. But hey, even the wildest jungle can be tamed, right?

My Breakthrough And An Opportunity For You

While researching ways to build my list I discovered a brilliant opportunity to have a website promoting 5 high-paying offers built for me completely FREE✨🎁

Needless to say, I leapt at the opportunity, and I’ve started earning money with that as well now.

This blog is part of it – the parts that look good are those done for me, and I’m still learning how to make a blog look professional and am focussed on that.

On the home front, joiners and plasterers are coming on Monday, the gardener on Tuesday, and the painter after that. My focus then is on getting traffic to this site – there’s lots of great free training in the package to help with that.
