AAArgh! Have I Bitten Off More Than I Can Chew?

just like the big cat: calm, in control

Well it seemed like a great idea at the time, but I’ve found it taking up a chunk of my time and having to work late in the evning to keep up with what I started.

I pictured myself just like the big cat: calm, in control, and about to enjoy a tasty ‘lunch’ of sales commissions from readers eager to learn more about the products featured in the article series I’m writing and posting on Medium.com.

Over-Reaching A Little Bit?

After the 5 day “Challenge” series had finished I decided to add a ‘Bonus’ 20 day follow up series to give readers more in-depth training on publishing and profiting from ‘Unique’ information products they’ve created from PLR material.

That’s when it hit me.

This is a whole lot of content I’ve committed to producing – and all to a Deadline – every single day, for 20 days!

That really felt like biting off far more tha I could chew, and was even a little bit panic-inducing when I realised it was going to mean working right up to bed-time just about everyday to fit it in with every thing else going on.

Why Not Just Abandon It All?

I could call it quits, and given the poor takeup on the affiliate offers so far, I would lose next to nothing, and that would give me time to devote to getting traffic and visitors to the offers via other sources.

It would also cut the sense of overwhelm and confusion.

So, what to do…

It’s a real conumdrum I’ve found myself in, and things just seemed to get more fraught.

There’s several positives to take from this and I hope some people have already seen them and decided they’d take the same road I am:

1/ I’ve already got 15 articles published and have started getting ‘eyeballs’ on them.

2/ there’ll be 25 pices when the whole series is complete shortly.

3/ Each post will then link to 24 others, meaning even more chance to discover my work, and hopefully attract followers.

4/ Each post has affiliate links to 2 different offers, giving me 30 chances to make a sale.

5/ The posts should remain live, and hopefully, getting clicks to offers until, or unless, I remove them. 6/ I can link to them from this blog – and back to the blog from them – increasing my chances of being found.

7/ This post about my experience, and problems, adds to my content and shows that I’m not some sort of ‘gooroo,’ or out-of-touch whizkid.

8/ I’ve learned a lot about the Medium platform; what works and what doesn’t, and I can apply the lessons going forward. 9/ When I approach people to help me on my next series they’ll see that I take this business seriously and do what I say I will.

Keep an eye out for my forthcoming series where I ask experts how to get free traffic to your sites and offers.
